Shanghai Metro Line 18 (Phase 1 & 2) comprises 32 stations equipped with B.E.G.’s KNX intelligent lighting control system for public areas, platforms, entrances, service counters and other zones. The project deploys around 3,700 KNX devices including switching modules, power supplies, constant illumination sensors, control panels, KNX/DALI gateways and central monitoring software. Compliant with KNX/IEC and GB/Z 20965-2013 standards, the system adopts a fully distributed bus architecture and supports time-scheduled, zoned, scene, dimming and daylight-linked automatic control. It features self-diagnosis, central monitoring, fire linkage and high scalability, ensuring stable 24/7 online operation to support both daily service and night maintenance. It delivers a highly reliable, energy-efficient and maintainable solution for smart rail transit buildings.
