What was the main reason you decided to use KNX in this project?
KNX offers me a highly flexible range of products from a wide spectrum of manufacturers. I was able to offer my customer a wide choice in products, fitting to his budget and preference.
Products that carry the KNX logo are a confirmation of high product quality, these products will communicate perfectly together and I didn't have to worry about working with inferior material.
The ETS Software makes programming a home and building project easy for me. I only needed to be able to manage one tool to set up a complete project.
In this project I didn't only need a reliable system, but also one that can be easily interfaced with other systems used in the project. KNX was therefore the obvious choice.
The most important argument to use KNX was the possibility of a home and building automation system that can be used for all possible applications.
With KNX I had a choice which transmission media I could use, it's always good to have a choice between wired and wireless solutions depending on the project.
