Detailed description

Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Innovation

Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Customer's description

Technik die lebt! Biohort GmbH, ein oberösterreichisches Familienunternehmen entwickelt und fertigt hochwertige Outdoor-Produkte aus Metall wie zum Beispiel Gartenhäuser und Pflanzenbeete. Mit dem neu errichteten Werk 3, wurde die Produktionsfläche um 44 000 m2 erweitert. Jeder noch so kleine Winkel der drei Standorte wird mit KNX überwacht und gesteuert. Die insgesamt 129 Dali Linien dimmen mit einer Konstantlichtregelung die gesamte Beleuchtung automatisch. Bei einem Brandmeldealarm werden alle Ladestationen (E-Auto / Stapler) sowie die 600 KWp PV Anlage und die Heizungszentrale ausgeschaltet. Zusätzlich fährt die Beschattung nach oben und der Schranken bzw. die Haustüre öffnen sich für die anrückende Feuerwehr. Bei einem Stromausfall unterstützt das KNX System den Diesel Generator und versetzt die Anlage in einen Sparmodus. Das Licht wird begrenzt und Stromschienen ausgeschaltet. Jedes Tor/Tür und Fenster ist überwacht und wird visualisiert.
