Detailed description

Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Innovation

Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Customer's description

This is my private family house, and everything in the house is controlled by KNX. I started the process with building the house and planning the electrical installation in 2016, and the house was completely finished in 2021. The building mass consists of 200m2 living area and 50m2 garage (car park) in connection with the house. And a 25m2 separate storage shed with a 40m2 extra garage (car park) beside the house. I also rent an extra garage (car park) about 200m from the house, where I also did some renovation work and installation of KNX. The connection to this building is done by wireless network and KNX IP routers. Gira Homeserver in combination with ISE KNX Remote Access is used for remote control and monitoring of the house. Gira Homeserver is also used for logic functions and push notifications. Gateways to Philips Hue and Sonos soundsystem is used to implement these functions in the KNX system. The house is very easy to live in, and with easy change of functions as we get older
