Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation


Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Customer's description

“NUCLEO” è un fabbricato abitativo interamente concepito perseguendo criteri di bioclimatica e sostenibilità. Utilizza tecnologie e prodotti innovativi, privilegiando l’impiego di materiali naturali, riciclati e a basso impatto ambientale. All’interno è inoltre presente un orto sinergico dedicato all’autoconsumo per l’indipendenza alimentare, sfruttando il microclima creato dal locale tecnico. Lo spazio è climatizzato in maniera naturale e l’acqua piovana viene raccolta e usata per l’irrigazione senza prelievo dalle falde; il fabbricato è dotato di impianti funzionali alla generazione autonoma di energia elettrica e termica e alla loro gestione integrata grazie all’impianto fotovoltaico da 43,32 kWp con sistema di accumulo da 160 kWh e alla pompa di calore geotermica da 30 kW con 7 sonde verticali “closed loop” poste a una profondità di circa 100 m. Gli impianti sono completamente controllati da un sistema domotico KNX.
