Detailed description

Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Customer's description

The office is located in an old boiler house where we have implemented the concept of an energy efficient office with minimal heat losses at the A ++ class level. For the heating and cooling of the premises, a combined system was implemented where the main source is 2 Buderus WPL air-to-water heat pumps and Bosch Compress 3000 AWS with a capacity of 17 kW each. An additional source of heating is the cascade of condensing gas boilers Logamax plus GB172i, with a total power of 48 kW. In addition, Logasol SKT 1.0 solar collectors are installed for hot water preparation. KNX control system with open protocol controls ventilation, heating and cooling, power consumption, office lighting and dynamically different areas of the building. Gira visualization and Zennio button interfaces are used to control light and climate. Lighting in the office area is maintained automatically by Jung sensors The KNX Bosch-X10 module provides complete fuel control
