Detailed description

Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Customer's description

Founded in 1885 by the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary, Calvary is a charitable, not-for-profit, Catholic health care organisation. The Calvary Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide co-locates the services currently provided at Calvary Wakefield and Calvary Rehabilitation hospitals into South Australia’s largest ever private hospital. The 12 storey world class facility was built by John Holland Constructions with a project value of $345 million. mySmart was contracted by Downer Engineering to complete the project. It has a floor area of 57,000m² and houses Adelaide’s only 24 hour private Emergency Department, 16 Operating Theatres and 5 levels of patient wards. The building utilises world class technology throughout including KNX for all lighting and emergency lighting control and monitoring. KNX is approved as a Technical Specification by Standards Australia providing piece of mind that KNX will be supported for years to come.
